The
Australasian Society for Psychophysiology
was started in 1991 at the inaugural Australasian Psychophysiology
Conference held in Sydney and has been gradually building its membership.
However, we feel that a concerted effort is needed at this stage to encourage
all psychophysiologists in the Australasian region to join the Society
for several reasons:
- to maintain the high quality of the Annual Conference
- to improve networking among psychophysiologists in the region
- to allow students to familiarise themselves with work from different
laboratories
- to facilitate exchange programs for students and staff
- to develop a strong and cohesive group for the purposes
of maximising research funding and infrastructure
Membership of the Society offers a number of benefits now and these will
increase as our Society grows.
Current benefits are:
- free copies of a regular newsletter
- reduced registration fee for the Annual Conference for full members
and for student members
- access to electronic links with other members
- a regular e-mail listing of relevant conferences
I urge you to make the effort now to join the Society and to encourage your
colleagues and students to join.
