Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Society is held during the Annual Conference, and procedural guidelines for the AGM have been formulated.

These complement the Rules [pdf] of the Society to which the ASP is bound as an Incorporated Association under NSW Law. Minutes of the AGM are circulated only to members of the ASP, and are available to members.

The AGM hears reports from the incumbent office bearers of the Society, and elects new office bearers for the following year.

The meeting also includes an open business discussion which encourages membership involvement in the Society and promotes responsiveness by the Society to its membership.

During the year, office bearers of the Society are empowered to act in an executive capacity for the best interests of the Society.
