Getting to 1PSQ
The Parramatta City Campus is easily accessible by public transport, as the Parramatta Transport Interchange is less than 100 metres from the campus' doorstep. Buses, trains and taxis can all be caught from the Interchange.
Opal card
Travel by public transport in NSW requires an Opal card. Opal cards are rechargable, and can be used on any mode of public transport by tapping your card onto the Opal reader as you enter and exit the station or vehicle. As you tap off your card will be charged with the appropriate fare and your remaining balance will be displayed on the reader. Opal cards can be purchsed from outlets located around Sydney. Single trip tickets can be purchased at some stations, but tapping on and off is still required.
Planning trips by train, bus or ferry can be easily completed using the Transport NSW Trip Planner, or the Opal Travel app for Apple iOS or Android.
Train and Bus
Parramatta has rail links to most major suburban centres in Sydney, with a 30 minute trip to the centre of Sydney City. Visitors arriving from Sydney Airport can get to Parramatta via Central station in under an hour.
The best way to get around Parramatta once you arrive is to catch the free Parramatta shuttle bus. It completes a 25 minute loop around Parramatta everyday, including weekends. For buses into and out of Parramatta visit the Transport NSW website.

Parking
While parking in Parramatta City is limited, ample parking is available at Parramatta North Campus for a small fee. Pay and Display parking permits can be purchased from permit machines on campus. The City and South campuses are connected to the North campus by a free shuttle bus service provided by Western Sydney University. The WSU shuttle bus stops at all three Parramatta campuses; City (1PSQ), and the North and South campuses. On weekdays estimated time between buses is 15 minutes, with services running between 6:30am and 11:00pm. This service is available for individuals attending the university for bsiness related purposes with permission from WSU.
